Mark your calendars—it’s time to wrap up another incredible season on the slopes with one of the most anticipated events of the year. The AEA Ski & Board Club End-of-Season Banquet is happening on Saturday, May 16 from 5–9 PM, and it’s shaping up to be a great night of food, celebration, and looking ahead to what’s next.
Hosted at Brian and Laura’s home in El Segundo (address shared after RSVP), this annual gathering brings together members to celebrate the friendships, trips, and memories that made this past season so memorable. With space limited to 75 people, it’s a more intimate setting—so be sure to reserve your spot early.
The evening will feature everything that makes this club special. We’ll be recognizing standout moments and handing out awards, announcing the new board members, and giving everyone a first look at what’s ahead—including details for the 2027 Mammoth trips and the highly anticipated Super Trip to Italy.
Of course, no AEA party is complete without great food. Brian will once again be cooking up his signature main course—always a highlight of the night. Guests are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share, making it a true community feast. You can sign up for what to bring using the SignUpGenius link below.
The cost is just $10 per person, and anyone under 18 attends free, making it an easy yes for a fun, laid-back evening with fellow members.
If you’ve been thinking about inviting someone new to the club, this is the perfect event to do it. It’s a great way to show off what AEA is all about—good people, great trips, and a community that knows how to have a good time both on and off the mountain.

Who says the fun stops when the snow melts? The AEA Ski & Board Club is keeping the social calendar rolling this summer with a group outing to see the Aerospace Players’ production of Shrek, the Musical at the James Armstrong Theater.
Performances run July 17–19 and July 23–25, and the club is planning to attend together on opening night for what promises to be a hilarious and entertaining evening. Whether you’re a longtime theater fan or just looking for another chance to hang out with fellow club members during the offseason, this is shaping up to be a great summer event.
Based on the hit animated movie, Shrek, the Musical brings everyone’s favorite ogre, donkey, princess, and fairy tale characters to life on stage with big laughs, energetic musical numbers, and plenty of heart. Produced by the talented Aerospace Players, the show is always known for delivering a fun, professional performance.
Summer activities like these are one of the things that make the AEA Ski & Board Club more than just a ski club. From winter mountain trips to happy hours, parties, and theater nights in the summer, the club is a great way to meet people, stay connected, and keep the good times going year-round.
More details about group tickets and meetup plans for opening night will be shared soon. Mark your calendars now and get ready for a fun night out with the club!
One of the South Bay’s favorite summer traditions is returning for 2026! Concerts in the Park at Polliwog Park will once again bring live music, picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and great community vibes to Sunday evenings all summer long.
This year’s concert series will feature 10 concerts running every Sunday from July 5 through September 6, from 5–7 PM. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a weekend—relaxing outdoors with friends, food, and live entertainment in one of Manhattan Beach’s most popular parks.
The concerts are free and family-friendly, making them a great casual outing for club members and guests alike. Whether you want to bring takeout, snacks, or a full picnic setup, the grassy amphitheater area at Polliwog Park is an ideal place to spend a warm summer evening.
The city has announced the full concert lineup, featuring a variety of musical styles and tribute bands throughout the season. You can check out the schedule here: Concerts in the Park Band Schedule
We may organize a few informal club meetups at some of the shows this summer, so let us know if there are certain bands or dates you’d especially like to attend as a group. It should be another fun way to stay connected and enjoy the South Bay together during the offseason.
